Mayan glyph (heiroglyph or pictogram) from the tzolkin 20 day calendar.  This being the famed year of the last mayan calendar 2012, I thought it would be fun to learn some of their day signs.  Here is muluk, the symbol for water (at least most give it that meaning) with the connotations of wholeness of life. 
As I was finishing this pattern I got the feeling that the image was of a "fish".
